Join Our French Classes

Whether you're a total beginner or a "French aficionado," our friendly tutors will help you take your French to the next level. Classes are interactive and designed to keep you engaged (and hopefully laughing a little too). With a maximum of 10 students per class, you'll get plenty of personal attention.

We offer courses for all levels from A1 to C2 (based on the Common European Framework of Reference). You can find a quick description here.

Classes are 1.5 to 2 hours per week, depending on the group.

    A1

    Beginners Plus A1.2

    Adult Weekly Courses

    Step into the captivating realm of French with our A1.2 course.

    Designed for aspiring Francophiles who have already established a foundation in French (equivalent to A1.1 level), you will learn essential skills such as discussing your daily routine, telling time, giving commands, talking about health and sports, writing postcards, and talking about your working life.

    • Duration: 10 weeks
    • Minimum Participants : 6

    A2

    Improvers A2.1

    Adult Weekly Courses
    For those ready to advance further, our A2.1 course continues the journey.

    Designed for A2.1 learners, this French course enhances fluency and confidence. You will learn to discuss your parcours (life path), share memories, and talk about future plans. Through interactive activities and conversations, you'll learn to grasp the main points in short, clear, simple messages and announcements, and explore cultural insights about French speakers. Engage in conversations to refine your pronunciation and develop vocabulary relevant to your daily life and personal interests.
    • Duration: 15 weeks
    • Minimum Participants : 6
    • Material : To be confirmed with the teacher during the first lesson.
             
    Pace: 90mins per week

    Improvers Plus A2.2

    Adult Weekly Courses
    If you have a good foundation in French and are able to get by in most situations, then the A2.2 Course is for you.

    This course, for A2.2 learners, improves fluency in basic communication on familiar topics and describing personal education and surroundings.You will work on skills such as giving advice, starting to express opinions, making positive or negative critiques, and structuring your speech more effectively. Additionally, you will develop mastery of past tense usage and learn to sound more like a native French speaker, for example by incorporating interjections and onomatopoeia.
    • Duration: 15 weeks
    • Minimum Participants : 6

    B1

    Intermediate B1.1

    Adult Weekly Courses
    Embark on a journey to enhance your French fluency and cultural insight with our B1.1 course.

    You will expand your ability to discuss a variety of topics, including detailed descriptions of past events, interactions with Francophone culture, art, and urbanism. The course also aims to strengthen writing skills, enabling you to express yourself effectively in written French
    • Duration: 15 weeks

    B2

    Proficient Plus B2.2

    Adult Weekly Courses
    For proficient speakers aiming to refine their language skills to an advanced level, B2.2 is the course for you.

    This course emphasises mastering advanced debate techniques and expressing opinions confidently in both speech and writing. Topics are explored through various sources and include current affairs as well as cultural subjects such as literature, cinema, music, and art. You'll develop skills in articulating nuanced arguments, critically analysing perspectives, and communicating fluently and persuasively in French.
    • Duration: 15 weeks

    C1

    Advanced C1

    Adult Weekly Courses
    For those proficient in French and aiming to reach an advanced level, our C1 French language course is ideal.

    In this course, you will learn to express yourself spontaneously and fluently. Your French will become efficient and flexible in professional, social, and academic settings. The course focuses on debating and expressing opinions confidently in speech and writing. You'll explore current affairs and cultural topics like literature, cinema, music, and art. By the end, you will be able to discuss complex topics in a well-structured way, articulate arguments clearly, analyse perspectives critically, and communicate persuasively in French.
    • Duration: 15 weeks
