We changed the way we call our classes to give our students a point of reference that most language providers use across Europe. The levels
of our courses A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 follow the Common European Frame of Reference for Languages
(CEFRL). Most
textbooks and Delf/Dalf Diplomas are also designed along these levels.
Here is the learning path at Alliance Française-Devon, while studying part time, 2 hours a week:
Beginners A1.1 and Beginners Plus A1.2 = 2 years of studies or 128 hours
Improvers A2.1 and Improvers Plus A2.2 = 2 years of studies or 128 hours
Intermediate B1. 1 and Intermediate Plus B1.2 = 2 to 3 years of studies or 128 to 192 hours
Proficient B2.1 and B2.2 = 2 to 3 years of studies or 128 to 192 hours each level
Advanced C1 = 2 to 3 years of studies or 128 to 192 hours + self-study and a couple of month studying in France
